”The Kingdom, The Power, & The Glory”
The kingdom of God is built with perfectly hewn stones fitting perfectly together crafted by God. And we are the stones. What does this have to do with The Lord's Prayer? The answer is... Everything!
"Evil In Exile"
Peter shows us in this passage that Jesus is our Ark, and what to do with those who revile you. And he reminds us that the Lord will put to shame those who persecute the righteous!
"I'm Going Fishing"
Simon Peter goes fishing. But he hasn't caught a thing until Jesus tells him to cast his net on the other side of the boat. What is really going on in this story? What deeper truth is buried under the surface? Find out with us as we explore John 21
“Are You The One?”
Why does God not heal His people when they call on His name? This is surely the question in John's mind when he he asks Jesus "Are You The One?" And why wouldn't Jesus deliver John of all people? Instead John remains in prison and dies a horrible death. These are the hardest of questions but we can begin to unravel the "why" in Matthew 11.
The Church and The Table
The final sermon in our series "The Church." How does the Table tie together everything that we are as the Church? What implications does it have for how we are to live and follow Christ? Follow us on our journey to know and love God and to be transformed to be more like Him. For the glory of Christ and the life of the world.
A Royal Priesthood
"We are a Holy Priesthood" What does that mean? We have no modern day equivalent to this. But this truth has massive implications for the people of God and it is good news for us! Let see what Peter is talking about as we dive deeper into 1 Peter.
Wonders Known In The Darkness
Have you ever cried out to God and felt like your cries fall on deaf ears? Like God has forgotten you? Like you’re all alone in your grief? The psalmist in Psalm 88 has felt your pain, your loneliness, and your sorrows. It’s the darkest psalm in the Bible and doesn’t end with any hope. So what does this psalm teach us about how to “hurt in God” and not just “hope in God”?
I Shall Not Be Shaken
What is David writing about in Psalm 16? Maybe he wrote it while he was on the run from Saul, a trusted friend who betrayed him? Or maybe he speaks of facing Goliath, a towering foe that that sought kill him? Or maybe its about the loss the child he never got to know? Maybe he's talking about fleeing from Absalom, his rebellious son that sought to undo his fathers house? In this sermon on Psalm 16 from Ryan Swindle we'll see David is speaking to the resurrection of Jesus.
A Word Of First Importance
The Corinthian Church didn't believe in resurrection. They followed the prevailing wisdom of the day. In fairness, it’s pretty crazy right? It defies all logic and everything we think we know. Paul writes to the Church in Corinth to "fact check" the "wisdom" of the Corinthian Church and encourage them in their faith with the reality of the resurrection. We hope you are encouraged and that your faith would be strengthened by this sermon on 1 Corinthians 15 from Ryan Swindle, our Care Pastor at Redeemer Rockwall.
You Prepare A Table Before Me
In one of the most well-known psalms in the Bible, the psalmist sees God as a gentle shepherd that is leading him to life and blessing. Yet in the midst of life, the psalmist faces troubles and challenges that threaten his life, but the Lord is with him. How do we find comfort in life by allowing the Lord to lead us?
Jesus: The Shepherd King
Jesus is commonly referred to as the shepherd of his people. This teaches us something about Jesus’s Lordship over us, but it also teaches us about who we are. We are sheep led by a gentle Master for our good.
