WHAT TO EXPECT
Parking
Parking in downtown Rockwall is free. You can find parking around the building and also at the parking lot on the southwest side. Our church has entrances on both sides of the building for easy access from wherever you may park. We have handicap access on the west side of our building. If you need any assistance, don’t hesitate to contact us ahead of time.
Our Services
Our services last a little over one hour. Our worship includes a blend of traditional and contemporary worship songs that draw our hearts to God to celebrate the truth of who he is and what he’s done. We also engage in responsive readings from Scripture, confession, and corporate prayer. Most people dress casual, so wear whatever you like.
Kids
Redeemer Littles offers childcare for infants and toddlers through age 4 during both services. Redeemer Kids Sunday School and Redeemer Youth Sunday School is available during both services (with breaks during May, August, and December).
The Lord’s Supper
We take communion every week as a constant reminder of Christ’s sacrifice for us. Communion is the climax of the service where we can respond in faith to the goodness that Christ offers to us. You don’t have to be a member of Redeemer to take Communion. We invite all baptized, professing believers to come and take the Lord’s Supper with us.
Worship is about Jesus.
We honor Jesus.
Worship is recognizing that our lives are all about Jesus and seeking him in all things. Here's the invitation of worship: Jesus wants you to know him, and love him, because he is the most precious gift you could ever receive.
We meet with Jesus.
When we gather to worship we believe that it's Christ who invited us because he first interrupted our story and invited us into his Story. Through worship we draw near to Jesus because he first drew near to us.
We are sent by Jesus.
We don't exist for ourselves, but to bring the gospel to the world. Jesus calls you to a life of profound purpose. Too often we settle for so little, and we need to be reminded that in Christ we're meant to change the world. Worship creates more worship.
Our Worship Leader
MATT FUQUA
Matt has been at Redeemer Rockwall since 2011. He was born and raised here in Rockwall and has a deep love for this community.
He has a passion for worship and leading God’s people through music and liturgy. On Sundays you’ll hear a mix of both contemporary and traditional music that celebrates both the past and present.
Matt is a founding member of the band The Afters and continues to write, record, and tour around the world.
