The Apostle Paul digs deep into Christian life. Paul want you to see that there's nothing in your life that Christ does not change. Because Christ IS your life!

The Colossian Church has brought their traditions into the gospel of Christ. Paul is saying in this passage that Christ is enough. The Gospel is enough. Which seems simple enough, but still seem to do the same thing today.

Paul's message to the Colossian Church couldn't be more timely. The church in North America is sleepwalking its way into the occult. More Christians than ever before are looking outside the gospel for peace, meaning, and deliverance. They're looking to crystals, palm readers, horoscopes, astrology, etc. And they're opening a door to the demonic in their lives that will destroy them.

Everybody needs hope. But where do we find true hope? Real hope? Deep hope? Who is our only hope in life and death? Paul points us to three things that reveal the secret of this hope.

The people of God are forgetting what they believe about Jesus. So the Apostle Paul sings over them.

Giving thanks and making prayers is the secret to flourishing as the church of Jesus Christ. It is the secret to a faithful and fruitful life in Christ!
