Ryan Swindle

CARE PASTOR

Ryan was born and raised in north Texas. He pursued Biblical Studies and Philosophy at Dallas Baptist University, where he met Amber. And a month later, they were engaged.

Together, Ryan and Amber worked as educators in south Dallas, where they learned that teaching means loving those in need. In 2010, Ryan was awarded a Master of Humanities from the University of Dallas. He became a school librarian, where he spends his days helping others think curious thoughts.

Amber and Ryan have three children: James Caedmon, Eden Ryse, and Esther Pearl.

The Swindles started attending Redeemer Rockwall in January of 2013. Having served the church as a layman, Ryan was called to the office of Ruling Elder. While serving on the session, Ryan discovered that the Lord had given him a heart for shepherding and felt he was called into pastoral ministry.

Under the care of the North Texas Presbytery, Ryan completed a ThM and internship through LAMP Seminary. He then pursued ordination in the Presbyterian Church of America, and was hired as a part-time Care Pastor at Redeemer Rockwall.  

Ryan now serves full-time as Associate Pastor at Redeemer Rockwall. He likes hanging out with his friends, cooking for his family, thinking in his favorite chair, and wearing his Texas Rangers cap.
