The People & The Place

In 2011, we were invited into the jungles of the deep forest. We met a suffering and persecuted church that was alive. We met two brothers who had sacrificed their lives to build a ministry among those rejected by society. We’re all in.

POPULATION

1,300,000,000

RELIGION

2% Christian

OUR PARTNERS

Jesus said, “I thirst.”

HOW WE SERVE

1.

THE POOR

CARING FOR THE OPPRESSED

We love and care for the needs of those trapped in modern day debt slavery breaking rocks by hand – an oppressive system that compounds debt. We seek to love them in their suffering and minister to their needs.

CHILDREN

LOVING THE LEAST OF THESE

Smriti began a preschool for the children of the Kalighat that eventually spread into four locations in the surrounding slums. The children are taught about Jesus and how to read and write using the Bible.

3.

PROCLAIMING THE GOSPEL

The pastors of the deep forest preach the gospel of Christ one village at a time. They face persecution, rejection, and violence. We support their ministries through sponsorships, equipping, and presence.

WATER

4.

MEETING FELT NEEDS

The untouchables often travel kilometers per day to get drinking water – but it’s also where laundry is cleaned and cattle bathe. We dig water wells to provide clean water in the name of Christ, free for all to come and drink.

A small white church with a cross on top is situated in a lush green area with tall trees and mountains in the background. Several people, including women, men, and children, are gathered outside the church. Some are standing and chatting, while others are seated on chairs. The scene has a warm, peaceful atmosphere.

CHURCHES

ESTABLISHING WORSHIP

We raise funds to build church buildings in the deep forest. Each congregation begins simply meeting under the shade of a tree, but these buildings are houses or worship, shelter in the monsoons, and refuge for converted Christians kicked out of their homes.

GO

COME & SEE

Every fall we take a team from our church for 10 days. We passionately believe that missions is about discipleship, it’s not just for those who feel “called.”

We believe Jesus invites us on mission with him and he meets us in the face of the other. Jesus changes us on mission because we encounter him.

For as often as we do it unto the least of these we do it unto him. So come and see.

MISSIONS IS SHARING IN GOD’S HEART FOR THE WORLD.
